Let's have a quilt along!

We are ready to launch our Jen Kingwell Quilt Along (thanks Jen for giving the nod to this project).
Details (the key here is keep it simple and enjoy!):
Choose a Jen Kingwell pattern- there are many stand alone patterns or you can get her book, Quilt Lovely which has 9 quilt patterns and some great little pillows.  (I bought my Midnight at the Oasis pattern from ModernQuilter- great service!)
Pull out your fabric (or visit you local quilt shop to pick up some lovely new fabric)
Start cutting and sewing!
Simple as that.

We will have a Link-up on the first Saturday of the month.
Between now and September 5th, you need to choose a pattern.  Then send an email to me so I can list everyone on my sidebar (with a link to your blog if you have one).  If you have Instagram, let's use #JenKingwellQAL.
I think it will take me at least six months to get all the rounds of Midnight sewn, perhaps even a bit longer with the applique.  I don't want this to be a pressure filled quilt along so plan to take the time you need.

This weekend I will write a blog post with a bunch of links to quilters who have made Jen Kingwell patterns.  I know there have been quilt alongs for specific patterns in the past and I will link to those in case you need inspiration. You can grab our Quilt Along button by copying the text in the box below (thanks so much to my daughter for helping create the button).
Or leave a comment on this post.

I’ve downloaded the button. I’m not sure if I can handle yet another JK quilt, as I really want to finish my Green Tea and Midnight quilt. There’s still a lot of work involved to completely finish those two as there is handpiecing and appliqué involved. So, if I were to choose a quilt from the book Qullt Lovely at this point, it would probably be a straight forward one, that only needs machine sewing and hopefully makes a dent in mu fabric scraps, like Bonnie Lass.

I was admiring your quilt on Slow Sunday Stitching and came over and what a surprise to find a JK Quilt Along! First time to discover your blog.

Oh how Fun!!! I am going through a JK phase at the moment. I am so hooked on her style. In July I treated my birthday self with her Green Tea and String Beans pattern and I have been working (almost nonstop) on GTSB. I also have purchased the Quilt Lovely book. I definitely would like to follow along. I have a goal to complete GTSB by the end of August. I am very excited that you have started a quilt along for her patterns. I very definitely want to give it a try. I will add your button to my blog.

I've added my QAL button to my blog! I may need some Instagram help! I'm choosing fabric for my Midnight quilt. Am I crazy to double the size of the blocks to make a BIG quilt?

I just found your blog. I'm really excited. My friend Kim and are just getting ready to start Midnight at the Oasis and would love to join in. My blog is NanaGirlQuilts dot blogspot dot com. Thanks! I'm still collecting fabric and don't have my background yet. Did you go with the Mama Said Sew black and gray dot?

My Thanks to Karen for sharing on her blog about this QAL. I just bought Jen's book, Quilt Lovely, and plan to make the "Daisy Do" quilt. I love the Midnight at the Oasis quilt too. A lot of these colors, and fabrics are way out side my norm, but I like them!!

I just found Jens designs and I'm in! I'm leaning toward Midnight Oasis, but I also ordered her book and that may change my mind.
