moving mom

Today we are moving mom to a memory care room.  It has been in the works most of the summer so there has been plenty of time to "get used to the idea."  But the reality is, there is no getting used to what Alzheimer's does to a person, to a family.
But today, more than ever, I am going to be on the up side of half full.  This will be good for mom.  It will be good for dad.  It will be hard for everyone.  But it will be good.

I am so sorry Juliann. Some things will just never be easy no matter how much time we have to get used to the idea. Saying a prayer for you. Take care.

You have to wonder who it's hardest on don't you? It was the best thing we did for our mum and knowing she was so well looked after and safe was a load off our minds. I hope it's the same for you.

I am feeling your confusion/pain/relief. Hugs and prayers to you, your mum, and your pops.
